My Dad spent time here undergoing end of life care, I cannot fault the care that was delivered, the carers were fantastic with dad as well as myself and my family , making sure we were fed and watered. They made the most dreadful situation more bearable and I cannot thank the carers enough… xxx

My Nan was in here for around 2 years, the care home manager is by far the rudest unprofessional care manager I have ever spoken to. I’m very much surprised this hasn’t been picked up on the care home reviews before. Let’s just say she belittles and attempts to force her own opinion upon residents families that live long distances away, who’d love to see their Nan/mom more but due to distance & work can’t. The care home manager thought the ratio of our visits didn’t suffice and in her option “didn’t know us from ADAM.” This was voiced to me multiple times over the phone. She also stated my Nan didn’t have any form of toiletries (we use to drop large shopping bags of body wash and all sorts every month) these were labelled and didn’t stay in my nans room for long, but somehow the rest of the care home happened to end up with the labelled toiletries of my nans aplenty… clearly we was supplying the whole home. Then to add insult on the day my Nan passed away and I traveled down to collect her stuff she directly passes me the invoice (£16) for the toiletries, that they’d apparently been buying.
When we was given the choice to offer the Covid 19 vaccination to my Nan who was in her 90’s, and had late stage dementia, no quality of life along with being documented for DNR because of her health and deteriorated dementia stage, we chose not to vaccinate, this was based on our nans/moms best interests. The care manager then refused to take our decision and threatened legal action… another example of shocking behaviour.
I wouldn’t touch the place with a barge pole, especially while she’s manager. (To aid and help avoid other family’s disappointment & upset, this happened in 2021) so if the residing manager had the helm in that year, run for the hills!
